Look out your left window. If you see a car there, that driver is suppose to grant you the right of way to proceed. If two cars approach an intersection at the same time - the one on the right has the right-of-way. It means that the car on the left stops and waits while the car on the right goes first. That's exactly what it means. Auto parts : Fender Cover Acura 1995 . Fender Flare Hardware Alfa Romeo 1996 . Fender Flare Trim Audi 1997 . Fender Flares BMW 1998 . Fender Roller Buick 1999 . I've just had a minor accident, there were no witnesses but a van just pulled out of a parking space on the side of the road and hit me as I was driving up the road,I was going real slow as I was looking for a space to park myself,in fact I was driving right in the middle of the road as there was a massive lorry parked before the van and he took up so much of the road, you had no choice but to drive over the middle white line (just to point out there were no cars in the other lane). My car is fine but his van has smashed, mirror, lights, dents etc...He went mad saying it's his brand new works van and his boss will go mad and make him pay for the damage and he was stationary but I know he wasn't and there are no witnesses, the only vehicle around was the lorry and the driver was in the shop. How do I stand with this as I've never had anything like this happen before, also I did agree to swap insurance details and gave him mine first as soon as he had mine,he jumped in his van and sped off, luckily the company he works for was written on the van,as it's evening now I can't get hold of anyone but will telephone tomorrow morning to get his/their insurance details. car insurance. His truck barely noticed a number of the bumps that sent my Jeep rocking all over the place. Volvo . How to Troubleshoot Heated Seats in a 2004 Ford ExplorerLuxury editions of the 2004 Ford Explorer came with options for heated leather seats. Although the heated seats are a nice luxury to have, especially in the wintertime, if they break down you may feel that you have shelled out money for a product that does not work. Knowing how to troubleshoot the heated seats in the Explorer yourself can help to ensure you've gotten your money's worth. Difficulty:Moderately Challenging Instructions Things You'll Need Fuses Voltmeter Soldering iron Step by Step : 1 Check the fuses in the Ford Explorer. The fuse box is underneath the driver's side console. Detach the cover for the fuse box, which will reveal a diagram printed on the opposite side showing where the heated seat fuse is placed. Slide out the fuse and inspect it to see if the fuse is broken. If so, replace it with a new fuse. This is the easiest and simplest fix for the heated seat circuit. 2 Turn the Explorer on and turn on the switch for the heated seats. The heated seat image near the switch should light up. If it does not, then that may mean something in your switch is bad. Remove the console where the switch is placed, and use a voltmeter to check different parts of the circuit around the heated seat button. If you find a bad connection, use a soldering iron or replace the connection with a new part. 3 Use a voltmeter to inspect the connection between the electrical system for the Explorer and the heated seat element. Turn the heated seat switch on. Test the connection by applying the voltmeter to the circuit before and after the heated seat connection. Unplug the heated seat connection module and test the three pins on the inside for continuity with the voltmeter. Clean any loose debris, dust or dirt that may be getting in the way of an electrical connection between the car's electrical system and the heated seat connection. If the connection on the electrical system's part is registering but the connection on the part of the heated seat module is not, you have a bad connection that must be replaced with a new connection switch. 4 Remove the seat cover. Inspect the underside of the seat cover and the rest of the insulation material for burnt spots along the tracks of the heated seat element. Burnt spots indicate where the circuit has broken. You can solder the circuit back together or replace the entire circuit. The latter would make more sense, because you have already gone through the trouble of exposing the heated seat element. However, if you do choose to solder the circuit back together, wrap it in electrical tape and use heat shrink wrap material to protect your soldered circuit. ResourcesQuasi Motors: Heated Seat Repair
Volvo . How to Replace the Turn Signal Switch on My 1998 Ford ExplorerYour 1998 Ford Explorer does not have a separate switch just for the turn signals; rather the Explorer is equipped with a multifunction switch, located in the steering column, which controls the turn signals, headlights and hazard flashers. If the turn signals fail, anyone with basic automotive repair experience can replace the switch in under a half hour with the proper tools. It's best to inspect the turn signal bulbs and fuse prior to replacing the multifunction switch. Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need Pocket screwdriver Philips screwdriver Replacement multifunction switch Step by Step : 1 Slip the tip of the pocket screwdriver between the two halves of the clamshell and gently pry upward until the top half pops loose. Remove the clamshell by hand. The clamshell is the trim cover at the top of the steering column, just in front of the steering wheel. 2 Remove the screw holding the multi-function switch in place using the Philips screwdriver. You can easily find the switch by following the turn signal arm into the steering column. The arm protrudes from the main body of the switch. 3 Pull the wiring harness out of the switch by hand and then lift the switch out of the steering column. 4 Insert the new switch in the same position and orientation as the old one. Reinstall the retaining screw with the Philips screwdriver. 5 Plug the wiring harness into the replacement multifunction switch by hand. Reinstall the clam shell by positioning it on the column and snapping it into the bottom portion of the trim. This may be because your old plug has worn down its center electrode, causing a gap that is too large. If the gauge goes in and out with a lot of room on either side, the gap is too large. If the gauge can't fit between the center and side electrodes, the gap is too small, which means that the spark plug is not burning the fuel/air mixture efficiently. Volvo .
